The last day before the election has witnessed numerous incidents where funds were distributed to voters in both rural and urban areas.
However, the distribution is not widespread; it is confined to voters from the poor and working-class demographics specifically.
It is reported that in almost all constituencies, BRS distributed Rs 2000, while the Congress distributed Rs 1000.
However, some candidates in certain constituencies have gone overboard in their monetary distribution.
For example, in a constituency in Khammam district, both BRS and Congress candidates competed with each other, distributing Rs 5000 per vote.
In a constituency near Hyderabad, the BRS MLA, who is also a Minister, distributed Rs 10,000 to pastors in churches almost a week ago to influence devotees during the Sunday Mass.
Numerous incidents have been reported where money was discreetly distributed to selected voters in this manner.
