The suspense around Venky Mama release date is over, well almost. Suresh Babu made it clear that it will release in December. He also mentioned that they are considering December 13th as it is Venkatesh's birthday and they had never released a movie on his birthday to this date. Strategically, Dec 13 is a good date for Venky Mama as it will be the first big release after a long gap, he said.
Suresh said that the release date will be made official in a couple of days. Meanwhile, second single from the film has been launched today on the occasion of Thaman's birthday. Suresh Babu while talking to a YouTube channel said that theatrical business has been affected a lot due to OTT platforms.
According to him, Cinema has become weekend and holiday business. "People are coming to watch only spectacle films like Sye Raas and Saahos. Or else youth are happy to stream content on NetFlix and Amazon. I am worried with the recent development as running theaters is getting tougher by the day," he said.
