Strange punishment to pro-Jagan IPS officers!

The Chandrababu Naidu government in Andhra Pradesh has delivered a major blow to 16 Indian Police Service (IPS) officers who displayed an excessive loyalty to the Y. S. Jagan Mohan Reddy regime and harassed Telugu Desam Party (TDP) leaders, including Naidu, over the past five years.

These IPS officers, who held high positions during the Jagan government, were transferred shortly after the NDA came to power in June. However, they have yet to receive new postings and have been kept in a state of waiting.

The officers were attached to the state police headquarters in Mangalagiri and instructed to be available there. Despite this, it was discovered that they were residing in Hyderabad and other locations, not attending the DGP office as required.

In response, the government has taken action. Readmore!

In a recent order issued on Wednesday, DGP Dwaraka Tirumala Rao instructed the officers to report to the DGP office daily from 10 am until evening, sign the attendance register in the officers' waiting room, and also sign out before leaving after office hours. They are also required to be readily available to attend any urgent tasks assigned by the DGP.

The IPS officers affected by this order include: PSR Anjaneyulu, P. V. Sunil Kumar, N. Sanjay, Kanthi Rana Tata, G. Pala Raju, Kolli Raghu Rami Reddy, R. N. Ammi Reddy, Ch. Vijaya Rao, Vishal Gunni, KKN Anburajan, Y. Ravi Shankar Reddy, Y. Rishant Reddy, K. Raghuveera Reddy, P. Parameshwar Reddy, P. Joshua, and Krishna Kanth Patel.

Among these 16 IPS officers are three with the rank of DGP, three Inspector Generals, and three Deputy IGs, with the remainder being superintendents of police.
