Squid Game: Strict 'No' For Children And Teenagers

South Korean fictional drama 'Squid Game' which became the super hit ever on Netflix is being watched by hundreds of millions worldwide.

The series is so cruelly made that the violence and gore are at their peaks. The story is about 400 needy people playing children's games for money. But the losers are killed by the game runner and only one will remain at the end.

This is like a fictionalized reality show that brings in tension due to suspense and crime.

There have been concerns from psychiatrists and children's mental health groups that this series has to be banned. Some say that this series is not at all watchable by children even under parental guidance. Though the rating is 18+, it is still debatable if the teenagares can watch it.

"The series may affect the mental health of the children. They may jump to imitate the elements in this game which may lead to many perils", said a psychiatrist.

A popular review of the series on Common Sense Media mentioned- "Characters are systematically tortured and killed for the sadistic pleasure of a game master. Adults have sex, and there are threats of sexual violence: Women are grabbed by the hair and beaten. Themes concerning the highs one gets from gambling, winning, or conning money are a main focus."

So it is strongly advised to keep children away from watching this show.
