Manchu Manoj, known for his unconventional script choices, has made a powerful comeback with Mirai.
Following that blockbuster success, the actor is now set to take on the British Empire in his next ambitious project.
Having become increasingly selective in recent years, Manoj returns with a historical action drama that promises to leave a lasting mark on Telugu cinema.
The makers today unveiled The Speed of David Reddy at a launch event.
The glimpse opens with a man explaining to his son about a revolutionary figure, drawing parallels to Subhas Chandra Bose and Bhagat Singh.
He describes David Reddy as someone feared by the British but misunderstood by his own people.
Introducing David Reddy’s speed and rage, the narrator also speaks about a bike named “War Dog.” Manchu Manoj then appears in a striking and stylish avatar. References to Jallianwala Bagh and World War I further heighten the excitement.
The glimpse raises several intriguing questions: How did David Reddy revolt against the British? Who is he really? And why does his own country turn against him?
The makers have also announced that the film’s shooting has officially begun. This compelling glimpse serves as a strong introduction to the world of the film and has succeeded in building curiosity among audiences.
The film will be released in English, Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, and Kannada, aiming for a wide, pan-Indian reach.
Directed by Hanuma Reddy Yakkanti and produced by Motukuri Bharath and Nallagangula Venkat Reddy under the Velvet Soul Motion Pictures banner, the film features music composed by Ravi Basrur, best known for the KGF series and Salaar. Cinematography is handled by Acharya Venu.
