Shruti Haasan, who is set to star in Lokesh Kanagaraj’s Coolie alongside Rajinikanth, has recently stepped away from two upcoming projects—Dacoit: A Love Story and Chennai Story.
Shruti had already begun shooting for Dacoit with Adivi Sesh, even sharing pictures from the set on her social media.
However, sources suggest that she exited the Shaneil Deo-directed action drama due to creative differences with Adivi Sesh.
As for Chennai Story, no reasons have been provided for her departure.
Shruti was slated to play a detective in this Indo-UK production, directed by Philip John and based on Timeri N Murari’s novel, Arrangements of Love. Interestingly, Samantha was originally considered for the role.
