Contrary to the speculations in the media, all the family members of YSR Congress party president and Andhra Pradesh chief minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy attended the prayers in commemoration of his father and former chief minister of combined Andhra Pradesh Dr Y S Rajasekhar Reddy at the YSR Samadhi in Idupulapaya estate of Kadapa district on Thursday.
There were reports earlier in various sections of media that Jagan would attend the prayers at YSR Samadhi first and it would be only after he leaves the place, his mother Vijayalakshmi and Sharmila would come to Samadhi to offer tributes.
The speculations went rounds in the wake of reports that all is not well within the family and Jagan has not been in talking terms with Sharmila after she launched a new regional party in Telangana.
In fact, on YSR birth anniversary on July 8, too, Jagan and Sharmila scheduled their visits to Idupulapaya at different times so that they would not face each other. So, this time, too, they might not like to sit together for prayers.
But much to the surprise of everybody, Sharmila and Vijayamma joined Jagan, his wife Bharati and other family members at the prayers. Apart from family members, several YSRC leaders and ministers were present at the Samadhi to pay floral tributes to the departed leader.
In fact, Sharmila was sitting right beside Jagan at the Samadhi and to her right was her mother Vijayamma. Jagan’s wife Bharati was seen at a little distance away from Sharmila and Vijayamma.
It is not exactly known whether Sharmila and Jagan held any talks or shared breakfast before coming to the Samadhi. But both arrived at Idupulapaya on Wednesday night itself and stayed at different guest houses.
Whatever might be the speculations, the presence of Jagan, Sharmila and Vijayamma at one place was definitely a pleasant scene for the YSR fans!
