Y S Sharmila, who is contesting the Lok Sabha elections from Kadapa, on Saturday sent a “mirror” as a gift to her brother, Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy.
She said she was presenting the mirror to her brother to know what image he would find in the mirror.
“Whom do you find in the mirror – is it yourself? Or Telugu Desam Party president N Chandrababu Naidu?” she asked.
Stating that she was worried about the mental state of Jagan Mohan Reddy, Sharmila sought to know whether he had any evidence to prove that she was being remote controlled by Chandrababu Naidu and that she had joined hands with the latter.
“Jagan is in a state of mental illusion and his talk is incoherent. Can he show a single proof or evidence to show that I am acting at the behest of Naidu?” she asked.
Sharmila said she had met Naidu only once in her whole life – to invite him to her son’s marriage.
“Even my father YSR had gone to Naidu’s residence to invite him to Jagan’s marriage. I respected his tradition. I have never spoken to Naidu even for five minutes,” she said.
The Congress chief asked whether she had undertaken 3,200 km padayatra for Jagan or launched Bye-Bye Babu campaign, only on the instructions of Chandrababu Naidu.
“It is ridiculous to say that even Sunitha and Revanth Reddy are also speaking on the directions of Naidu,” she said.
Sharmila said it was Jagan who was projecting Naidu out of proportions and making him a powerful leader.
“Just look into the mirror. Have you not seen the legal fight of Sunitha for justice? Why are you scare of me, if Avinash Reddy doesn’t have a role in Vivekanda Reddy’s murder?” she asked.
She said she was the daughter of Y S Rajasekhar Reddy and was as stubborn as he was.
“Nobody can control me directly or through remote. I am not the kind of person who blindly believes whatever is said by anyone,” she asserted.
