The news of Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput committing suicide came on the afternoon of June 14.
Sources in the Mumbai Police told media that prima facie no foul play is suspected as of now. A very senior cop got the information about the incident and informed the local police.
Police believe that it appears that the suicide was committed between 10 am-1 pm. The exact time will be known once the post mortem report comes.
- Rajput, who was an early riser, woke up at his usual time of 6-6:30 am on the day of the incident.
- He woke up and came out of his room.
- He had pomegranate juice at around 9:30 am
- At around 10:30 am his cooks asked what was to be made for lunch, but he didn't come out of the room and didn't respond to any knocking.
- At around 11-11:30 am, the cooks and house help staff again knocked on the door but there was no response.
- Rajput's staff called on his mobile phone also but there was no response.
- The cooks called Rajput's sister, the one who lives in Mumbai and asked her to come
- Once the sister came, a key maker was called. The call was made at 1:15 pm and the key maker reached the house at 1:30 pm and opened the door
- On opening the door, Rajput was seen hanging from the ceiling
- He tied a noose from a green colour Kurta
- The staff got the body down and cut the noose with a knife
- The staff called the ambulance service
