Nani’s latest film, Saripodhaa Sanivaaram, opened well, registering big numbers in all territories.
Directed by Vivek Athreya, the movie has become the all-time highest day 1 grosser for Nani in North America, with a $310K+ gross, excluding premieres.
Including the premiere shows, the movie has collected over $850K and counting in North America, and it is now nearing the $1 million mark.
Nani’s films have consistently performed well overseas, delivering significant profits to buyers. He is indeed one of the biggest Telugu stars in the region, next to Mahesh Babu and Prabhas.
The movie, which is benefiting from positive reviews, is expected to maintain its momentum through Monday, due to a holiday in the USA.
Meanwhile, Saripodhaa Sanivaaram couldn’t secure grand openings in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, despite extensive promotions by the team, and reportedly garnered over Rs 6 crore in net collections.
