Sai Reddy to enter media, real estate!

A series of articles being published by Eenadu daily newspaper on the alleged land deals in Visakhapatnam involving the family of YSR Congress party general secretary and Rajya Sabha member V Vijay Sai Reddy has become a big irritant for him.

So much so that Sai Reddy on Tuesday announced that he will soon enter the media field – launch a newspaper and also a television channel to counter “Ramu,” as he chose to refer to Eenadu group chairman Ch Ramoji Rao.

“I don’t want to call this man Ramoji, because it has a respectable letter “ji” which he doesn’t deserve. I will call him only as Ramu. This man with shady background has no moral values and has an illegitimate birth,” Sai Reddy said, using strongest abuses against the media baron.

Stating that Eenadu newspaper had turned worse than a pamphlet for the Telugu Desam Party, the YSRC MP said: “Just because Ramu owns a newspaper and a television channel, he has been indulging in character assassination. Here is my challenge. I am going to enter the media field. I will launch a newspaper and a television channel with my own money.” Readmore!

He said if he was further irritated, he would also enter the real estate field. “Let me see what you can do and I will show you what I can do,” he said.

Sai Reddy alleged that Ramoji Rao had started his career as a clerk and grown to riches by usurping the properties and companies of G G Reddy by cheating him.

“He has earned money by looting people not by selling pickles. I wonder what he is eating – whether it meals or something else? How can he write such scandalous stories?” he asked.

Describing Eenadu and other yellow media houses as “caste-based” media, Sai Reddy said people were spitting on such papers.

“My daughter and her family have been in various industries including pharma, infrastructure and real estate sectors for the last 40 years. They are doing business sincerely, unlike Ramoji Rao. They have business ventures in 100 countries and their pharma company is among the top five in the country,” he said.

He wondered how his daughter’s properties belonged to his own.

“Can Bharat Biotech be called Ramoji Rao firm? If his daughter-in-law Sailaja buys any assets, do they belong to her father U Sunder Rao? I don’t have any assets in Visakhapatnam except a flat,” he claimed.

Sai Reddy declared that he was prepared for any kind of inquiry including by the CBI or the ED or even FBI. “Are Ramoji Rao and Chandrababu Naidu ready?” he asked.
