Reigning star Rashmika Mandanna is reportedly commanding a hefty fee for her upcoming film Mysaa, in which she plays a powerful, author-backed role.
According to sources, the actress has quoted a remuneration of â¹5 crore, which the makers have agreed to, acknowledging that the film’s commercial pull largely rests on her shoulders.
After portraying a soft, romantic character in The Girlfriend, Rashmika shifts gears with Mysaa, stepping into full-fledged action mode.
The film marks the directorial debut of Ravindra Pulle and is being made in five languages, including Hindi, Telugu, and Tamil, to capitalise on Rashmika’s growing pan-India appeal.
Mysaa is said to be a dark and intense story set against a tribal backdrop, revolving around a woman’s courage and her defiance of death.
Rashmika has reportedly undergone a demanding physical and emotional transformation for the role and is expected to deliver one of the boldest and most violent performances of her career.
She has already completed 12 days of shooting and is set to resume work on January 6 after her holiday break.
Meanwhile, Rashmika is currently on vacation with actor Vijay Deverakonda. The duo is reportedly enjoying a festive getaway and is expected to ring in the New Year together.
Recently, Vijay shared a candid photo on Instagram Stories showing him relaxing at an airport, while Rashmika held up a Polaroid picture she had taken of him.
Captioned, “After a crazy intense few months… it’s holiday time,” the post went viral, with fans calling them an “adorable couple” and their matching winter wear further fuelling relationship speculation.
