Roja To Help Balayya To Develop Hindupur!

Firebrand MLA from Nagari and YSR Congress party leader R K Roja never hides her utter contempt for Telugu Desam Party president and former Andhra Pradesh chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu and at every given opportunity, she attacks Naidu with choicest words.

But somehow, Roja seems to have some soft corner towards Naidu’s brother-in-law and his son Nara Lokesh’s father-in-law Nandamuri Balakrishna, TDP legislator from Hindupur in Anantapur district.

May be because of their previous association in the film industry, Roja has hardly seen criticising Balakrishna. In fact, whenever Roja and Balakrishna met in the assembly lobbies, they were seen exchanging pleasantries.

During the debate in the state legislative council on the three capitals bill in January, when Balakrishna went to the visitors’ gallery, Roja too went there and took a selfie with him and the picture went viral. Readmore!

On Tuesday, Balakrishna disclosed some more interesting news.

When he happened to meet Roja at a recent meeting, he asked her help to develop industrial estate in his home constituency Hindupur. The industrial estate came up during the regime of his father N T Rama Rao.

“Definitely Balayya Babu. We shall definitely develop the industrial estate. I will arrange a meeting with officials concerned and you can also attend the meeting,” Roja, now chairperson of AP Industrial and Infrastructure Corporation (APIIC).

Stating that he would definitely attend the meeting to be convened by Roja, the senior TDP leader said he had no problem with anyone, even if the TDP was not in power.

“That is why, I have discussed the constituency issues with Roja,” she said.

“We have taken up several developmental works for Hindupur, irrespective of the party in power. During NTR regime, an industrial hub came up at Tumukunta. During Chandrababu Naidu regime, we brought Kia Motors automobile factory,” Balayya pointed out.

He said since Hindupur is closer to Bengaluru, there was a lot of potential for its development as an industrial hub.

“There is a Bio-Park in my constituency and I have proposed to develop it further, but the works came to a halt due to Coronavirus effect. I will try my best to see that locals would get most of the jobs. I am also planning to develop Skill Development Institute,” the TDP leader said.
