RK says Naidu may join hands with BJP again!

It is an open secret that the Telugu Desam Party led by former Andhra Pradesh chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu has been desperately trying to forge an alliance with the Bharatiya Janata Party for the last two years.

It is also a known fact that the BJP has been spurning the feelers of Naidu for restoring the friendship, as it is hoping to fill the void in the opposition and emerge as a potential alternative to the YSR Congress party.

However, the TDP appears to be still nurturing the hopes of getting back into the BJP fold one day or the other. And Naidu is of strong hope that the BJP would entertain him ultimately.

This was indicated by none other than Naidu’s close friend and media baron Vemuri Radhakrishna, managing director of Andhra Jyothy, in his weekly interaction programme “Open Heart with RK” done this time with CPI leader K Narayana. Readmore!

Reacting to a comment made by Narayana that Naidu was hesitant to work with the Communist parties, Radhakrishna said there was every possibility that Naidu would join hands with the BJP in the next elections and perhaps, that was the reason why he was not entertaining the Left parties.

Narayana did not rule out the possibility.

“But I doubt how far Modi will agree for restoring friendship with Naidu, because he doesn’t forget the past. He still remembers what comments Naidu had made against him during the Gujarat riots and also before 2019 elections,” he said.

The veteran CPI leader said the CPI was keeping away from the TDP only because Naidu had joined hands with the BJP in 2014.

“But if all the opposition parties have to unite and fight against the Jagan government, Naidu has to cooperate. We are ready to work with him and take up joint action programme,” he added.
