Revanth, Uttam fight over Huzurnagar bypoll candidate

This is yet another classic example to prove that Congress will never learn lesson from its past mistakes and Congress leaders will never stop ‘infighting’ even after Congress remains in coma in Telangana.

The Election Commission is yet to announce schedule for Huzurnagar bypoll seat, vacated by TPCC chief N Uttam Kumar Reddy but the Telangana Congress leaders are already fighting on the streets to secure tickets for candidates of their choice.

This issue has led to tussle between Uttam and TPCC working president and firebrand leader A Revanth Reddy.

It all started with Uttam declaring on his own that his wife Padamathi will contest Huzurnagar bypoll.

Revanth strongly opposed this saying that how can Uttam declare the candidate unilaterally.

Adding fuel to the fire, Revanth proposed Chamala Kiran Kumar Reddy as the candidate.

Revanth complaint against Uttam to Telangana Congress in-charge RC Khuntia, who promised that he will take up the issue with the party high command.

Revanth also expressed his ire at Congress leaders avoiding him while meeting Governor Tamilisai Soundararajan to complain against KCR on encouraging defection of Congress MLAs.

Revanth said some seniors deliberately did not inform him about Governor’s meeting despite he being the working president of the party and Lok Sabha member.

Congress had already bitten the dust in 2014 and 2019 elections mainly due to ‘infighting’.

But this doesn’t stop Congress leaders in indulging in infighting again and again and damage the party further.
