Some call him opportunistic, while others label him a shrewd go-getter. Whatever it is, the winner always receives accolades. Revanth Reddy is a winner, set to be sworn in as Chief Minister today.
There has been much publicity in the yellow media, suggesting that Revanth Reddy is a close aide of Chandrababu Naidu. However, Revanth Reddy himself vehemently denies this, stating that anyone making such claims will have their face smashed with a chappal.
Before delving into his association with the TDP, let's examine his past.
He was a leader in the ABVP during his student life. Upon entering active politics, he initially served as a district-level leader in Mehboobnagar within the TRS Party. He later walked out of TRS, becoming an Independent MLC.
Only after that did he join the TDP, eventually becoming an MLA. Subsequently, he gained popularity with the Vote For Note case and then joined the Congress. Despite controversies, he continued his winning streak, becoming the MP of Congress from India's largest MP constituency, Malkajgiri.
Although he has never served as a minister in any government, he has suddenly ascended to the CM's chair.
His political journey deserves a biopic, showcasing how a common man with no political family background nurtured himself step by step, achieving the position of Chief Minister at the age of 54 – a relatively young age in the political arena.
This is no easy feat. Revanth Reddy utilized every party as a stepping stone to his destiny. His dream of becoming Chief Minister has now materialized. How he governs and the talent and shrewdness he exhibits in governance as the CM are yet to be seen.
GreatAndhra extends its best wishes to Revanth Reddy for his career as Chief Minister and congratulates him on the occasion of the swearing-in ceremony.
