Actor Ram Pothineni was in shock. He was smoking at historical monument Charminar after wrapping up a shot for director Puri Jagannadh’s “Ismart Shankar”.
He was having small puff to get relaxed. But the police present there didn’t take this light.
As per the COTPA Act 2003, it is an offense to smoke at public places and historical monuments. So, Sub-inspector of Charminar fined Ram. The star had paid Rs 200 for this offense.
Ram Pothineni is playing the role of Shankar, a pucca Hyderabadi guy in the film. Puri Jagannadh is filming song and some scenes in Charminar area.
The film is slated for July 18 release. This Ram’s first team up with Puri Jagannadh.
