Raju Questions Sai Reddy Authority

YSR Congress party MP from Narasapuram K Raghurama Krishnam Raju, who raised a banner of revolt against the party, seems to stretching the things too far so as to get suspended or expelled from the party at any cost.

A day after YSRC general secretary and parliamentary party leader V Vijay Sai Reddy serving a show-cause notice on him seeking an explanation for his anti-party activities, Raju gave a strong “reply and not response” the notice on Thursday.

Raju questioned the very name and stature of the party of which he is an MP. He found fault with Sai Reddy for calling the party as “YSR Congress” as he claims there is no such party as per the Election Commission records.

“It is only called Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress party and EC clearly mentioned that the name YSR should not be used anywhere. But your letterhead says it is YSR Congress party,” he said and reminded that as per the EC records, there is also another party by name Anna YSR Congress party.

Raju also took a dig at Sai Reddy for calling himself as national general secretary of the party, as according to the EC records, it is only a registered state recognised party. In a bid to snub Sai Reddy, he addressed the former as “national general secretary of a Registered State Recognised Party.”

The Narsapuram MP questioned the authority of Sai Reddy in serving the show-cause notice in the capacity of national general secretary.

He argued that as per the party constitution submitted to the EC, a disciplinary committee has to be constituted “since we intend to call ourselves as a political party.”

“Where is the disciplinary committee, who is its chairman and are its members? What was the procedure adopted before serving the show-cause notice? Kindly share with me the minutes of such meeting,” he said.

Raju also sought to know whether Sai Reddy had taken permission from party president Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy garu to use the letter heads with YSR Congress Party printed on it.

He threatened to take appropriate legal action against Sai Reddy for the “unauthorised show-cause notice,” and asked the latter not to harm the party with his actions.
