Sankranthi season at the cinemas will be flagged off by Superstar Rajinikanth. His upcoming film Darbaar release has been advanced by a day, which means it will now release on January 9 so that it has two full days to cash in on without any resistance.
Both Mahesh's Sarileru Neekevvaru and Allu Arjun's Ala Vaikunthapuramulo are not going to have a traditional Firday release because of negative sentiment.
Apparently, Mahesh and Trivikram are not agreeing for Jan 10th release as they tasted bad results on that day.
Mahesh's film 1 Nenokkadine that was released on January 10 and Trivikram's Agnyathavaasi also released on the same day in another year and bombed at the box office. So, they are not opting for Jan 10th release now.
According to the buzz, Sarileru Neekevvaru will arrive on Jan 11 and Ala Vaikunthapuramulo will release on Jan 12. This will give Rajinikanth's film to have two full days to cash in on before the Telugu biggies take over.
Rajini's films haven't been performing up to the mark lately in Telugu markets. This is a great chance for the superstar to make a strong comeback.
