SS Rajamouli is India’s highest-paid director. With record-breaking under his belt, Rajamouli has popularity equal to that of a superstar.
He is an inspiration to many young directors. His style of visual effects can be noticed in many other directors.
But Rajamouli says only three and four directors have an influence on his working style.
“I like many directors and their work. But when it comes to influencing, KV Reddy comes first. His films have had a huge effect on me. Ram Gopal Varma is another filmmaker who influenced me as a filmmaker,” he said.
Rajamouli also mentioned that Raj Kapoor’s brand of filmmaking also has an effect.
He didn’t mention anything about his guru K Raghavendra Rao, though Rajamouli follows his guru’s style of filming songs.
