Rajagopal praises BJP again, vows to defeat Jana!

There is no other enemy for the Congress party in Telangana. Its own leaders are sufficient to sabotage the party’s prospects in any elections.

It has been quite some time since Congress MLA from Munugode Komatireddy Rajagopal Reddy has been openly denouncing the party and praising the Bharatiya Janata Party.

On many occasions, he gave enough hints that he would join the BJP, but hasn’t done so because he will lose his assembly membership. He comes to the assembly without wearing the Congress party scarf, yet nobody says anything and no action is taken against him.

On Wednesday, Rajagopal Reddy made controversial comments once again. He said he had been receiving offers from the BJP and negotiations had been going on with the BJP leadership for quite some time for his entry into the BJP. Readmore!

“The BJP leaders have been bringing pressure on me to resign from the Congress and contest the assembly elections from Nagarjunsagar by-elections. However, I have not taken any decision,” the MLA said.

He even declared that if he contested the Nagarjunasagar by-elections on behalf of the BJP, veteran Congress leader and former home minister K Jana Reddy would come down to third position.

“The people have realised that only BJP can pull down the TRS from power,” Rajagopal Reddy said.

The Congress MLA said TRS working president K T Rama Rao could not become the chief minister only because of internal wrangling in the family of chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao.

“He was apprehensive that there could be split in the TRS if KTR becomes the chief minister,” he asserted.
