Sahit Mothkhuri is coming up with his third directorial venture Pottel which is slated for release on the 25th of this month.
Today, the makers unveiled the film's theatrical trailer, which introduces all the main characters and also reveals the storyline.
In his quest to provide his daughter with a good education, the protagonist faces backlash when the Pottel, intended as a village sacrifice escapes, leading to blame being placed on him.
Ajay’s character Patel, alongside the villagers who fervently uphold the village traditions, launches an attack on the protagonist’s family. Patel is willing to sacrifice the girl instead of the Pottel.
As the trailer indicates, Pottel powerfully highlights the importance of education, delivering its message in an intense and emotionally charged manner.
Firstly, Sahit Mothkhuri must be appreciated for coming up with a strong message story and narrated it compellingly.
Yuva Chandraa Krishna delivered a superb performance as a caring father who knows the value of education, while Ananya Nagalla appeared as his wife. Ajay is terrific in a power-packed role. He surprises in a lady get-up, and also the Pothuraju look.
The trailer showcases strong technical elements, with cinematographer Monish Bhupathi Raju effectively capturing the rural setting, while Shekar Chandra’s background score adds emotional depth.
On the whole, the trailer has set good prospects for the movie. Produced by NISA Entertainments and Pragnya Sannidhi Creations, Pottel is up for release on October 25th.
