The politics in Andhra Pradesh are going downward, to the lowest ever and lowest anywhere. It is all about spreading Goebbels, throwing mud and washing off hands.
The letter in circulation in the media in Andhra Pradesh is an indication to this extreme low level of politics in the State.
Those who take politics to this level have a reason – they lost the elections and have not accepted Jagan Mohan Reddy as chief minister even after 10 months of the result.
In fact, they are unable to digest the fact that Jagan Mohan Reddy is sitting in the chair, which, they feel and strongly believe, belongs to them.
The letter being circulated in the social media and was quoted widely by the print and electronic media, only to be denied at the end, is not in the official format, if anyone notices it carefully.
The official communications always have an established format which is seen on the front page of the communication (letter in this case), which is missing here.
This indicates that the letter is the creation of some political mischief aimed at defaming the ruling party and the government on one side and rallying one caste together against the ruling party and the chief minister on the other.
The mischievous game was well planned and executed as it caught the prime time of the TV news channels and prime slot of the print media.
The target is achieved and the purpose is served. That is what the intention or the motive behind creation of that letter.
But what surprises the onlookers is the simple denial of SEC Nimmagadda Ramesh Kumar and his absolute silence thereafter.
The SEC as an institution is dragged and Ramesh Kumar, as individual and as commissioner is dragged on to the streets in the cheapest-ever political game.
The politics in AP will go further low and decline to the cheapest level, as long as one section of the people refuse to accept their defeat and the rival’s victory.
When the reality is not accepted, fake becomes the order of the day and that is what is happening in AP.
If this fake letter and its intentions are any indication, the state will see much more heinous act of politics stooping down to the lowest in the days to come.
