Peddireddy will be better CM, says YSRC MP

Known for his comments that would irritate his own party leadership, YSR Congress Party MP from Narasapuram parliamentary constituency Kanumuri Raghurama Krishnam Raju on Wednesday stoked yet another controversy.

Speaking to a media channel, Raju said Andhra Pradesh minister for panchayat raj Peddireddy Ramachandra Reddy would be a better chief minister than present CM Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy, if given a chance.

He was reacting to a statement made by Peddireddy that had he been the chief minister of the state, he would have seen that the Telugu Desam Party would become empty and Naidu would remain the lone leader in the party.

“If Peddireddy has made such a statement, one should definitely give a serious thought to it. He has all the capabilities of becoming the chief minister. He is an educated, rich and powerful leader. He will definitely become a better CM,” Raju said. Readmore!

Raju also strongly reacted to the report that was aired by a national television channel stating that a rebellion was brewing in the YSRC in the wake of reports that Jagan might have to go to jail in connection with the CBI cases against him.

“There is no question of any revolt in the YSRC, as Jagan Mohan Reddy is the whole and sole leader and nobody would dare raise his voice against him. Maybe, those who was nurturing the dreams of becoming the CM might have planted those stories in the channel,” the Narasapuram MP said.

He said the ongoing elections to municipalities and corporations were not a referendum on the governance of Jagan Mohan Reddy.

“They only reflect the money and muscle power of the YSRC,” Raju observed.
