Despite facing a hostile treatment from the Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy government, Telugu Desam Party senior leader and Uravakonda MLA Payyavula Kesav has once again been nominated as the chairman of the Public Accounts Committee of Andhra Pradesh state assembly.
A notification to this effect was issued by state assembly secretary general P P K Ramanujacharyulu, making appointments to various committees of the assembly for the year 2023-24.
The PAC headed by Payyavula Kesav comprises MLAs – Katasani Rambhupal Reddy, Kiliveti Sanjeevaiah, Ch Ramachandra Reddy, Kambala Jogulu, Kothari Abbayya Chowdary, Abdul Hafeez Khan, Jakkampudi Raja, K Bhagyalakshmi and MLCs – Kumbha Ravi Babu, Parchuri Ashok Babu and K S Laxman Rao.
YSRCP legislator from Bhimavaram Grandhi Srinivas has been appointed as chairman of Public Undertakings Committee, while another MLA V Kalavathi was appointed as the Estimates Committee.
The PUC comprises MLAs Pendem Dorababu, Ravindranath Reddy, Anna Rambabu, Arani Srinivasulu, Kilaru Venkata Rosaiah, Nagulapalli Dhanalakshmi, A Joga Rao, P G V R Naidu (Gana Babu) and MLCs Ch Srinivasa Rao, Lella Appi Reddy and B Tirumala Naidu.
The Estimates Committee comprises MLAs Ramireddy Pratap Reddy, G Kiran Kumar, Gopireddy Srinivas Reddy, M Tippe Swamy, K Venkatrami Reddy, M Venugopal, P Purnachandra Prasad, Eluru Sambasiva Rao and MLCs D Chinna Govinda Reddy, K R J Bharat and D Rama Rao.
