Pawan spending personal money on farmers?

Any political party requires huge money to take up party programmes – whether it is for the conduct of rallies, holding of public meetings and even extending financial assistance to needy people to build up its vote bank.

The only way a political party gets money is through collection of donations from business houses or party funds from the leaders or even through membership fee. No political leader heading the party spends his personal money from his pocket.

Jana Sena Party president and power star Pawan Kalyan is also no exception.

As per the records of National Election Watch and Association of Democratic Rights, the party has received donations up to around Rs 29 crore till 2020 and it continues to swell every year. Readmore!

The party has also opened a separate account for receiving donations, as per its website. Of course, Pawan Kalyan might also be contributing money from his own earnings through films.

So, whether Pawan Kalyan pays Rs 1 lakh each to the families of tenant farmers who committed suicide due to distress or to the families whose houses demolished in Ippatam village in Mangalagiri, it would be from the party funds.

Even his election campaign vehicle “Vaarahi” also must have been bought from the party funds. Of course, Jana Sena Party might not be receiving donations in a big scale compared to the YSR Congress party or the Telugu Desam Party, but it is definitely receiving funds from various sections including leaders who are aspiring for party tickets for the next elections.

But Tollywood comedian-cum-villain Pruthvi Raj, who shifted loyalties from YSR Congress party to Jana Sena, says Pawan is spending his personal money to the families of farmers who committed suicides.

“So far, Pawan Kalyan paid Rs 1 lakh each to around 150 farmers’ families. It is entirely from his own pocket. He is not looting anybody or stashing any money. He is not in power to do so. He is a man of integrity and sincerity. He has every rupee by working hard,” he said.

Pruthvi Raj went to the extent of saying that Pawan was spending all his savings on farmers’ families.

“He even withdrew money he was saving for his son Akira’s future and spent the same on farmers. This was revealed by his brother Nagababu,” Pruthvi, who is better known as 30-year-industry, said.

The comedian even said Pawan had no money even to pay his income tax, as he had exhausted his savings on farmers and he had to borrow money from others to pay taxes.

“I am confident that he is going to become the next chief minister of AP. There is no doubt about it,” he said.
