Pawan seeks BJP blessings, not alliance?

It appears Jana Sena Party president and power star Pawan Kalyan has given up the hope on roping the the Bharatiya Janata Party into his party’s alliance with the Telugu Desam Party in the coming general and assembly elections in Andhra Pradesh.

All these days, Pawan Kalyan was expressing hope that the BJP would join his party’s alliance with the TDP. He made it several times in public that he was awaiting a positive response from the BJP.

Even the state BJP leadership has been saying that it is for the central leadership of the party to decide on any prospective alliances, while reiterating that the Jana Sena Party was still an alliance partner of the BJP and a part of National Democratic Alliance.

However, at the Vizianagaram public meeting held on Wednesday evening, there was a change in tone and tenor of Pawan Kalyan. He did not make any reference to the alliance with the BJP.  Readmore!

Instead, he said: “I am sure the BJP would extend its blessings to the TDP-Jana Sena Party alliance. I hope the BJP central leadership will extend support to our alliance. Our alliance would continue at least till all the issues in the state are settled.”

Pawan Kalyan said he had already informed the elders at the Centre that if the YSRCP was allowed to come to power again, the people would have to carry either a stick or a knife for their security.

“I also told them that there is no alternative except having a tie-up with the TDP," he observed.

He reiterated that he had joined hands with the TDP only to prevent split of the anti-establishment vote in the best interests of the state.

“The YSR Congress party leaders say I have deceived the BJP. But I explained to the top BJP leadership about the conditions in Andhra Pradesh and my compulsions,” he clarified.

So, it is clear from his words that he has been told by the BJP central leadership that it won’t join the TDP-Jana Sena Party alliance!
