All these days, the Bharatiya Janata Party has been attacking the YSR Congress party headed by Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy for being anti-Hindu and encouraging propagation of Christianity.
But now, the BJP leaders have found another leader as anti-Hindu. He is Jana Sena Party chief and actor Pawan Kalyan, who allegedly made some strong remarks against Hinduism.
Addressing at a meeting in Tirupati on Monday, Pawan commented that the BJP leaders were playing religious politics by raking up Hindutva. He alleged that Hindu leaders were the cause of confrontation with other religions.
He also reportedly said the people from other faiths do not indulge in violence in the name of religion, as certain Hindutva groups do.
Pawan's comments on Hinduism triggered uproar among the Hindu groups and also the BJP leaders. Telangna BJP legislator T Raja Singh lashed out at Pawan Kalyan for making derogatory comments against Hinduism.
Wondering why the actor had spoken against Hindutva, Raja Singh alleged that Pawan had absolutely no knowledge about the virtues of Hinduism.
“He does not seem to have any understanding about secularism and fundamentalism,” he said and demanded that Pawan withdraw the comments immediately.
“Otherwise, the actor will have to face dire consequences from Hindutva groups,” Raja Singh warned.
