Pawan facing trouble from his namesake!

Jana Sena Party president and power star Pawa Kalyan might be under the impression that it will be a cakewalk for him in the upcoming elections in Pithapuram assembly constituency in Kakinada district, going by the enthusiasm being displayed by his party workers and the youth.

But, the ruling YSR Congress party is not leaving any chance to sabotage his prospects and is using every small opportunity to defeat him.

While veteran Kapu leader and former minister Mudragada Padmanabham is going all out to engineer a split in the Kapu voters, party candidate Vanga Geetha is making all out efforts to attract the BC and SC votes, particularly those of fishermen community, apart from DWCRA women beneficiaries.

Adding to Pawan’s troubles, latest reports indicate that the YSRCP is roping a namesake of the power star into the contest on behalf of a little-known Navrang Congress Party.  Readmore!

This gentleman’s name is Kanumuri Pawan Kalyan, whereas the power star’s name is mentioned in the ballot box as Konidela Pawan Kalyan.

Interestingly, Navrang Congress Party was allotted the bucket symbol, the Jana Sena Party chief will be contesting on glass tumbler symbol.

As both the names are similar and so are their election symbols, this has posed a big headache for Pawan Kalyan.

He is apprehensive that the rural voters might get confused his namesake with him and his party symbol and vote for the other candidate.

The Jana Sena Party leaders are contemplating approaching the Election Commission of India seeking cancellation of registration of the Navrang Congress Party or allot a different election symbol to it.

They are alleging that this could be a conspiracy by the YSRCP to defeat Pawan Kalyan.
