TDP Behind 'Shaving' Rumour: Pawan Kalyan

Paritala Ravi shaving Pawan Kalyan's head was a huge story that did rounds among political circles and general public for many many days and many years.

However, Jana Sena leader Pawan Kalyan said it was nothing but a malicious rumour spread by the TDP at the time, during his on-going Chalore Chalore Chal yatra.

Speaking to some Jana Sena party workers in Vijayawada on Friday, Pawan Kalyan said, "It is a mere rumour that Paritala Ravi shaved my head. The rumour was spread by the TDP. But I don't hold any grudges against the party. Despite all this, the reason why I supported TDP during past elections was to facilitate goodwill between castes."

The rumour spread like fire in 2004, when it was widely said that following a face-off on a certain issue, Paritala Ravi threatened him and personally got Pawan Kalyan's head shaved. Since then Pawan had never spoken about the issue.

But now, after many years, Pawan broke his silence and addressed the issue, which took many by surprise.

Since he was in Vijayawada, he also touched upon another sensitive issue of Vangaveeti Ranga's murder.

Pawan maintained that Ranga's murder was wrong. He said the city of Vijayawada still thrived in caste wars and that the people here lived under constant pressure due to this.

He once again reiterated that he would stop doing films completely.
