Anupama Parameswaran’s new movie with Cinema Bandi fame director Praveen Kandregula was announced yesterday.
Today, Samantha and Raj & DK unveiled the film’s title, first look, and concept video. It is titled fascinatingly Paradha, which means drape.
The first look poster shows Anupama standing along with a group of girls. While Anupama uncovered, the other girls are seen covering their faces with Paradhas. However, there is dejection on Anupama’s face.
As the poster suggests, the film that comes up with the tagline- In The Name Of Love is a bold attempt by Anupama. It’s a compelling drama centred around female protagonists.
The concept video gives further clarity about the theme. The famous shloka from Manusmruthi is heard in the background while a goddess is seen with her face wrapped with clothes.
It means where Women are honored, divinity blossoms there, and where women are dishonored, all action no matter how noble remain unfruitful.
Alongside Anupama, Darshana Rajendran, and Sangitha are the lead cast. Paradha is the maiden Telugu film for Darshana who is familiar to Telugu audiences with the acclaimed films Hridayam and Jaya Jaya Jaya Jaya Hey.
Produced by Sreenivasulu PV, Vijay Donkada and Sridhar Makkuva, the movie is in the last leg of shooting.
Gopi Sundar provides the music, while Mridul Sujit Sen handles the cinematography.
