Opinion: ABN's New Dream Project 'Sharmila - Jagan Tiff'

When the fiction writers become journalists every day is a new story. The new dream project of ABN chief seems to be running a series of countless episodes on the matter of Sharmila- Jagan tiff. The political rivalry between the brother and the sister appealed to the media house as the most interesting topic to engage their readers.

A banner story on AndhraJyothy with the title "Anna Tho Ami Tumi" is an attempt to indoctrinate Sharmila to start her party in Andhra Pradesh. The idea of ABN group is that if she does that, then a split of Christian votes and the votes of ardent YSR sympathizers can be expected between her and Jagan Mohan Reddy. But that is too stupid to conclude. If Sharmila falls into the trap of AndhraJyothy and takes any such steps she may end up as the biggest loser.

The majority voters of Jagan Mohan Reddy may treat Sharmila with equal respect as long as she tests her luck in Telangana politics, away from her brother's place. But if she stands up as an opponent to Jagan Mohan Reddy getting into AP politics, then people start disrespecting her. This family feud is not going to put the brother in trouble at all. Besides, the sister will lose her respect.

Sharmila, since the beginning, seems to be over rating herself. She may be the daughter of YSR but that is not enough to score in politics with a new party. We cannot forget Hari Krishna and Lakshmi Parvathy who lost miserably with a new party after the demise of NTR. Sympathy hardly works in real time. People look at the powerful candidate but not the players of victim cards.  Readmore!

AndhraJyothy advising Sharmila to shift her focus totally from Telangana to AP is the height of crookedness. But that is not going to affect the political situation in AP.  As of now neither Chandrababu nor Pawan Kalyan are fit enough to dethrone Jagan Mohan Reddy. Knowing this, ABN Chief is now wishing to see if Sharmila can. If this is the point, then his calculation is ludicrous. If Sharmila falls into this trap, then she will realize her mistake later.
