Nothing to do with RGV film, says Naidu

For the first time, Telugu Desam Party president and Andhra Pradesh chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu reacted on the controversial film “Lakshmi’s NTR” made by maverick film director Ram Gopal Varma.

Reacting to a query from a reporter on the allegations made by Varma on the obstructions caused to him in holding a press conference at Vijayawada last week, Naidu made it clear that he had nothing to do with the development.

“Some people have the habit of losing tongue at me for everything. The other day, this gentleman wanted to hold a press meet at Vijayawada and the police denied him permission as the model code of conduct was in force. But he insisted that he would address the media on the road. Who am I to stop him? He could as well go to Electoin Commission office to address press conference,” Naidu said.

The TDP chief said in any case, the film was not a new one as it was released in Telangana. Readmore!

“Nonetheless, I'm not concerned and I don't have anything to do with it," he said.

Asked about Lakshmi Parvathi, the chief minister said everybody knew in which party she was at present.

“I seriously don't understand why this silly politics now,” he said.
