NOTA producer is eyeing to cash in on Vijay Deverakonda’s craze post Geetha Govindam’s success.
According to trade sources, Gnanavel Raja is quoting unreasonable prices for this dubbed film. NOTA is a political drama made in Tamil and dubbed into Telugu.
Vijay Deverakonda plays an angry young man who turns fierce politician. Trailer of the film has shown that it is a serious drama unlike Geetha Govindam, which was a universal film.
Comparing NOTA with Geetha Govindam and quoting prices as per the collections of the latter is ridiculous, opine trade sources.
NOTA looks like a film with limited appeal besides being a Tamil dubbed film. It hasn’t generated buzz like Geetha Govindam did.
There are no crowd pulling elements like blockbuster audio or entertaining promos for NOTA. But the producer is quoting huge price for distribution rights keeping Geetha Govindam as the benchmark.
Gnanavel Raja is reportedly quoting Rs. 16 crore for Nizam distribution rights as Geetha Govindam collected Rs. 20 crore share in Telangana. However, buyers aren’t willing to take the risk.
So the producer has decided to market the film on his own and releasing it through various distribution companies across Telugu states.
