Power makes the leaders blind, they say. It aptly applies to Telangana Rashtra Samithi MLAs these days.
They are behaving in the most handed manner, beating up people, abusing government employees in filthy language and assaulting anybody who question them.
In the latest incident that happened on Tuesday, TRS MLA from Choppadandi constituency in Karimnagar district Bodiga Sobha was caught on camera while abusing the employees of a toll plaza, while her husband and gunmen were seen assaulting the staff.
Reason: the toll plaza staff had failed to provide them a VIP passage.
It happened at Renikunta toll plaza near Timmapur on Karimnagar outskirts. The MLA was to be given a VIP passage without any barricades, but unfortunately, it was closed as there was a vehicle which broke down in that passage.
The toll plaza staff requested the MLA to pass through the regular way, where there were many vehicles waiting for their turn to pay the toll fee. This made the MLA impatient and as her vehicle reached the counter, she shouted at the employees.
The angry MLA, her husband and the gunmen got down from the vehicle and picked up the argument with the staff for not giving them uninterrupted passage.
One of the gunmen assaulted the staff during the argument and the MLA’s husband chased and beat up another staff member who tried to record it in his mobile.
A couple of days ago, another TRS MLA Challa Dharma Reddy of Warangal was charged with assaulting a trader who complained to the Collector against the MLA’s illegal stone crushing activities.
Similarly, Nakrekal MLA Veeresham was also caught in an audio tape abusing a senior official for not entertaining his recommendation.
If TRS chief K Chandrasekhar Rao doesn’t act, the people themselves will teach such MLAs a fitting lesson in the elections, say the opponents.
