For the last few days, the media in Telangana has been agog with speculations over the possible anointment of Telangana Rashtra Samithi working president and state IT minister K T Rama Rao as the chief minister in February, replacing his father K Chandrasekhar Rao.
Several TRS leaders, including ministers like Eatala Rajender, Errabelli Dayakar Rao, Talasani Srinivas Yadav and Gangula Kamalakar, besides MLAs, are openly talking about KTR becoming the next chief minister of Telangana.
The clamour for KTR as CM has gradually been picking up but there is no denial or confirmation from the KCR’s family yet.
However, Eatala Rajender disclosed to the media that serious discussions were going on within the family about the change of the guard in the state.
Interestingly, KTR’s son Himanshu has reacted cleverly to the ongoing speculations over his father becoming the chief minister soon.
He has his own social media group with huge following and he often chats with his follower on Instagram on the topic: “Ask me whatever you feel like.”
On Wednesday, Himanshu was obviously flooded with questions on his father becoming the next chief minister.
“There is no talk on the issue in the family. When dad and grandfather are at home, they do not discuss politics at all. So, I am not aware of the change of chief minister,” he said.
Asked when he would like to enter politics, Himanshu said he was not at al interested in politics. So, the question of his entry into politics doesn’t arise, he said.
