Forgotten leaders are surfacing in BJP

There are several entries into the BJP in AP in the recent days. Some leaders have joined the party as BJP claims itself as the emerging force in the State.

But, most of the leaders who have jumped into the BJP’s compound are either forgotten from the memory of the people or have no mass base.

Take for example, former CM Nadendla Bhaskara Rao. The present generation doesn’t even know who he is.

Of the three TDP MPs who have defected to the BJP, T G Venkatesh is comparatively better than these two in terms of cadre base, but he is a spent force in Kurnool district and would be of not much use for the BJP for 2024 elections.

The other two, Y S Chowdary and C M Ramesh have no mass base in their respective districts.

Sanakkayala Aruna, who was a minister in TDP regime before 2004 elections, is almost out of the memory of the people. She had joined the BJP.

TDP MLC Vakati Narayana Reddy from Nellore, is also of the same position.

A former Congress MLA from Puthalapattu in Chittoor district, Dr P Ravi, is hardly remembered even by the people who voted for him in 2009.

Justice Nakka Balayogi, a retired judge from High Court, who also joined the BJP, is politically not known much and has no mass base in his native, Amalapuram, in East Godavari district.

One wonders what the BJP is going to do with these leaders most of who are out of the peoples’ memory by now.
