Jagan begins to roll out Nava Ratnas!

Notwithstanding the uproar from the opposition parties over Amaravati capital issue, YSR Congress party president and Andhra Pradesh chief minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy is going ahead with implementation of welfare schemes listed out in his Nava Ratnalu agenda.

Jagan, who held a teleconference as part of Spandana programme, focused mostly on his welfare schemes. He wanted the completion of 25 lakh weaker sections houses by Ugadi. 

“Many petitions in the Spandana program are regarding housing scheme and it is a prestigious project to allocate houses on such a large scale. Village volunteers should play a major role in identifying the beneficiaries,” he said.

The chief minister fixed timelines for the implementation of welfare schemes.

The government will start giving Rs 10,000 yearly assistance as announced to auto and cab drivers from the last week of September.

‘YSR Rythu Bharosa’ under which farmers will be given financial assistance would be implemented from October 15.

The State Government has decided to give Rs 10000 financial assistance to Fisherman from November 21.

"Government would increase diesel subsidy to owners of mechanised boats from Rs 6 to Rs 9 per litre. This scheme will be implemented from November 21," the Chief Minister said.

The implementation of providing Rs 24,000 financial assistance to handloom weavers will also be speeded up.

“Ammavodi” scheme would start from January 26. Financial assistance of Rs 10,000 to Nayee Brahmins, Tailors and Rajakas who owns shops would start in the last week of February along with YSR Pelli Kanuka.

Christian Pastors, Muslim Imams, and Mouzzans and Priests would get financial assistance in the last week of March.
