Naga Chaitanya and Samantha starrer “Majili” is a big hit in domestic market. The film took the advantage of early summer holidays and positive buzz.
It has successfully brought in the family audiences to the theaters. No wonder then that it did roaring business in its first week by collecting nearly Rs 25 Cr, setting record in Naga Chaitanya’s career.
But the same trend is not being seen in USA.
After bringing in good revenues in the first weekend, the film has not registered further growth. In the second weekend too it is posting ordinary numbers. At present, the film’s cumulative gross stands at $718k. It has chances to cross $800k by end of this weekend.
It will be tough for the movie to have good run after that and its chances of crossing million dollar mark are bleak.
On other hand, Sai Dharam Tej starrer ‘Chitralahari’ in its first day collected $121k, highest in the star’s career. It is a decent amount for Sai Dharam Tej’s range.
