A day after predicting zero MP seats for the Bharat Rashtra Samithi in the coming Lok Sabha elections in Telangana, popular news anchor and journalist and founder-CEO of Telugu television channel TV9 V Ravi Prakash started airing his predictions on Andhra Pradesh assembly elections on Thursday.
Ravi Prakash, who is heading the digital channel, began his survey on the outcome of elections in Andhra Pradesh zone-wise, staring with Rayalaseema region.
According to him, the Telugu Desam Party will make a remarkable recovery in the Rayalaseema region these elections, by winning 22 out of 52 assembly seats in the region.
In 2019, the TDP had won just three seats – party president N Chandrababu Naidu in Kuppam in Chittoor district, his brother-in-law Nandamuri Balakrishna from Hindupur and Payyavula Kesav from Uravakonda, both in Ananapur.
But this time, the TDP is going to do well in Rayalaseema by winning 22 seats. The YSR Congress party which had won 49 assembly seats in 2019, will be restricted to 29 seats this time and the Congress party will surprisingly make a debut by winning one seat in Anantapur.
According to Ravi Prakash predictions, the YSRCP will win seven assembly seats in Kadapa as against three of the TDP; 10 seats in Kurnool as against four of TDP; seven seats in Chittoor, as against an equal number of seats by the TDP and in Ananapur, the YSRCP will win five, the TDP eight and the Congress will win one seat.
He said his survey has revealed that Naidu will retain his Kuppam seat, whereas minister Peddireddy Ramachandra Reddy will retain his Punganur seat. While YSRCP candidate Roja is going to lose her Nagari seat, Nallari Kishore Kumar Reddy of TDP will bag Pileru seat.
Bhumana’s son Abhinay Reddy from Tirupati, Chevireddy Mohit Reddy from Chandragiri and Bojjala Sudheer Reddy (TDP) from Srikalahasti are among the winners in Chittoor district, he said.
In Anantapur, Ravi Prakash predicted that Paritala Sunitha of TDP might lose her seat in Rapthadu, whereas Congress candidate Sudhakar might win Madakasira seat.
