Conspiracy Within YSRC To Defame Jagan?

Are the ongoing inflammatory comments by some YSRCP leaders like Kodali Nani against traditional rules in Tirumala temple aimed at defaming party president and chief minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy?

This was the doubt expressed by popular seer Paripoornananda Swamy of Sri Peetham, Kakinada, who had once been projected as the chief ministerial candidate of the Bharatiya Janata Party in Telangana.

The spiritual leader, who was placed under house arrest in Hyderabad ahead of his proposed 'Dharmagraha Yatra,' and was banned from the city for six months for allegedly making provocative statements.

“I strongly believe some kind of conspiracy has been going on behind the back of Jagan Mohan Reddy. May be these forces are conspiring to defeat Jagan in the next elections and people like Nani are fanning the flames by making provocative statements,” the Swamy said.

He said Jagan would lose nothing by declaring his faith on Lord Venkateshwara in Tirumala.

“He should take inspiration from former President of India late A P J Abdul Kalam. There is no need for Jagan to give up his Christianity, but it is enough to sign the declaration as part of the temple system,” the seer said.

Coming down heavily on Kodali Nani for making inflammatory comments, Paripoornananda Swamy wondered whether the minister had gone mad or been affected by Coronavirus.

“Who is Nani to question the traditions in centuries-old Tirumala temple? He should not forget that anybody who played with the sentiments of Tirumala devotees had disappeared into history,” he said.
