Chiranjeevi References In Ala: Allu Arjun

Stylish Star Allu Arjun after some gap is coming up with Ala Vaikunthapurramloo as his third film in combination with director Trivikram Srinivas.

Sharing his views, Bunny said, “We learn many good things when we take a gap. What I learnt was never to take such huge gap.”

How different is this film from ones in your previous combination.

“Julaayi was a complete entertainer. Then our second film S/O Satyamurthy was more of emotional drama. I did serious films in recent times. Trivikram also did a serious film Aravindha Sametha. So, we thought of doing a wholesome family entertainer.”

Before beginning of the project, there were reports of this film will be remake of Hindi hit Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety.

“The proposal was there from Geetha Arts. But, when Trivikram narrated Ala Vaikunthapurramloo story, we thought, this is better choice among the two.”

Bunny and Trivikam share good rapport with each other which is why they in short span have done three films together.

“Some filmmakers use your strengths. Some filmmakers give you new strengths. Trivikram falls in second category. He makes us understand ourselves. The journey with him brings change in personal front as well.”

Unlike routine promotions, songs were released too early, but the strategy worked wonders for the film.

“It was actually my idea which is adopted from Bollywood. In fact, the reach will be huge, if we release songs one after the other before the film’s release.”

Mahesh Babu’s Sarileru Neekevvaru and few other films in Sankranthi race. Will it affect the revenues of all the films releasing for the festival.

“Producers wish for a solo release. But, the advantage of releasing for Sankranthi is 20 to 30% high revenues, irrespective of competition.”

Bunny also informed that Megastar Chiranjeevi will watch Ala Vaikunthapurramloo on 12th.

“He asked us to load the film to watch on 12th. There are some surprises in store for you. The film will have references of Chiranjeevi.”

Bunny said that he has no qualms of doing multi-starrers and Pan India films. He also clarified that his film Icon with Venu Sriram is very much on but it will go on sets after he wraps up his film with Sukumar.
