Sadineni Yamini quits TDP, to join BJP?

Telugu Desam Party’s most popular face among its spokespersons in Andhra Pradesh Sadineni Yamini has called it quits to the party, much to the shock of the party leadership.

Yamini sent her resignation letter to TDP president and former chief minster N Chandrababu Naidu on Thursday evening. She said she was resigning from the party on her personal reasons.

“I will disclose my future plans in a couple of days,” Yamini said in a statement in the evening.

According to sources close to her, Yamini along with a few others is most likely to join the Bharatiya Janata Party soon.

A couple of months ago, she created a flutter by meeting BJP state president Kanna Lakshminarayana. This led to the talk that she might join the saffron party.

Before the last elections, Yamini was the most visible face on the television screens participating in various debates.

She had become very popular in the mainstream as well as social media with her pungent comments and sharp attacks on the YSR Congress party and other political rivals.

After the election results, there was nothing for Yamini to comment against YSRC, which had received a huge mandate from the people and party president Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy became the chief minister. She had virtually gone into the silent mode.

She has been keeping away from the TDP activities for quite some time. She has also become inactive on the social media, where she was the most popular spokespersons of the TDP in the past.

She has not been attending any party meetings for quite some time.
