After HC rap, KCR to open talks with RTC staff!

Following a serious reprimand from the Telangana high court on Tuesday, the Telangana Rashtra Samithi government headed by K Chandrasekhar Rao is most likely to come down a bit and initiate the process for negotiations with the striking RTC employees.

A division bench comprising Chief Justice R. S. Chauhan and Justice A. Abhishek Reddy asked the KCR government to give up its adamant attitude and call the striking employees for talks.

At the same time, the court also asked the employees to call off the strike and attend the negotiations.

The court believes that people are suffering between the insistence of the government and the RTC unions.

The court said there are many ways to protest and asked the government what steps have been taken to stop the strike.

The court posted further hearing to October 18. It asked both the parties to inform the court at the next hearing on the steps taken to resolve the crisis.

Apparently, KCR has decided to appoint a committee of ministers and officials to hold talks with the employees’ unions in a day or two.

The Joint Action Committee of RTC employees’ unions also expressed its willingness for talks, but said the strike would continue till the solution is found for their demands.
