Jagan, not Modi, to launch Rythu Bharosa!

The prestigious scheme of “YSR Rythu Bharosa” of YSR Congress party president and Andhra Pradesh chief minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy will be launched at Kakuturu near Nellore on Tuesday.

Though Jagan invited Prime Minister Narendra Modi to inaugurate the scheme, aimed at providing a cash investment support of Rs 12,500 per year to each farmer, the PM reportedly expressed his inability to attend the function due to prior engagements.

So, Jagan himself will launch the scheme at a grand function to be held on the premises of Vikrama Simhapuri University at 10.30 am on October 15.

He would also distribute identity cards to tenant farmers, acknowledging that they would also be eligible for Rythu Bharosa money.

Later, he would distribute cheques to a few farmers under the YSR Rythu Bharosa scheme, before addressing a public meeting.

Simultaneously, similar functions would be held in all districts for distribution of cheques under the scheme.

The Jagan government released Rs 5,510 crore under YSR Rythu Bharosa scheme. A government order to this effect was issued on Sunday.

As per the order, all the eligible farmers would get the Rythu Bharosa funds directly into their accounts soon after the scheme is launched.
