The workplace abuse case at Tata Consultancy Services in Nashik has become the most viral issue in the country today.

In connection with this, more disturbing revelations and hidden details are continuing to emerge, raising serious concerns nationwide.

Speaking to NDTV, the six-year employee said she was transferred and forced to work alone on a rooftop terrace, with her belongings confiscated. Readmore!

"I was made to work alone on the rooftop, and my phone and bag were confiscated," she said, adding that such actions were justified under security pretexts.

She claimed young women aged 20 to 25 were treated as “soft targets,” exploited and “brainwashed,” while even HR failed to act due to fear.

"Thank God I survived otherwise, the same thing would have happened to me today," she said, urging women to speak against the “dark culture.” Following the controversy, employees were shifted to work-from-home.

Another contractual employee alleged coercion involving religion, saying, "They used to say, 'Go make Hindu girls your girlfriends and marry them'... 'convert your religion'..." and claimed such practices were ongoing since 2021.

Police are investigating nine complaints of mental and sexual harassment filed between 2022 and 2026.

Seven employees, including HR manager Nida Khan, have been arrested, while another woman linked to the case is missing. Accusations include molestation, coercion, forced religious practices, and threats of termination.

Authorities allege HR enabled misconduct, with Khan described as a “lady captain” who groomed victims. One accused allegedly exploited a woman under false promises of marriage, while complaints to management were ignored.

TCS stated it has a zero-tolerance policy, suspended the accused, and is cooperating with investigators. Chairman N Chandrasekaran termed the allegations “gravely concerning.”

Investor Mohandas Pai called it a shocking “breakdown of systems,” highlighting fear and silence within the organisation.

Responding to this incident, a woman employee working in an MNC in Gachibowli, Hyderabad mentioned, "This is a shocking revelation. As women working in corporate environments, especially in MNCs like Tata Consultancy Services, we always believe that these organisations provide a safe and secure workplace. There is a sense of assurance that strong policies and systems are in place to protect us".

She continued, "If incidents like this are actually happening, it is deeply alarming. It makes us question how safe we truly are, even in reputed companies. Who is really responsible for ensuring women’s safety in such environments? What kind of surveillance, accountability, and complaint mechanisms are actually functioning behind the scenes?"

She concluded saying, "As a woman working in another company, this raises serious concerns for me. There is a need for stronger, transparent systems where employees can report issues without fear, and where action is taken swiftly and fairly. Safety at the workplace should not just be a policy on paper, but a reality that every woman can trust."
