YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) is slowly gaining strength in North Andhra politics. This change is clearly visible in the undivided Vizianagaram district.
Similarly, there is a discussion that the party’s graph is increasing in rural areas of the undivided Visakhapatnam district as well.
In Srikakulam district too, unity among leaders is now improving, which is expected to have a positive impact on the party.
Senior leader Botsa Satyanarayana is acting as a strong pillar for YSRCP in North Andhra.
Recently, the party’s protest programme “Chalo Mulapeta Port” in Srikakulam district was successful. At the same time, YSRCP leaders strongly criticized the ministers from the district.
In the Legislative Council, the situation appears like a direct face-off between Atchannaidu and Botsa Satyanarayana. Now, even in active politics, both leaders are openly targeting each other.
The Telugu Desam Party (TDP) is reportedly working on strategies to control the rising momentum of YSRCP.
As part of this, Atchannaidu recently made strong comments against Botsa. These remarks were seen as an attempt to create differences between Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy and Botsa, forcing the latter to respond strongly.
Political observers say that TDP is targeting Botsa in a planned manner, as he is a key leader in YSRCP.
He has strong influence in Vizianagaram and Visakhapatnam districts, and also has community support in Srikakulam. By putting pressure on him, TDP is trying to weaken YSRCP in North Andhra.
There is also talk that TDP is using a BC leader like Atchannaidu strategically to counter Botsa in this political battle.
