Producers Dil Raju and Shirish are backing Ashish’s upcoming film DeThadi under the Sri Venkateswara Creations banner.
Directed by debutant Aditya Rao Gangasani, the film has already sparked curiosity with its vibrant title and impactful first look. Today, the makers unveiled the First Glimpse.
The glimpse throws open a spirited gateway into the bustling lanes of Hyderabad and Secunderabad, introducing Ghannu Bhai- not just a drum artist, but a living pulse of the streets. His world bursts with colour, celebration, chaos, and an unbroken rhythm that refuses to stand still.
Ashish’s rugged makeover with curly hair, thick beard, fierce eyes, and laid-back swagger, lends Ghannu Bhai an unfiltered, earthy intensity.
His gestures, rhythm-fuelled body language and powerful dialogue delivery mirror the life of a man who straps on a seven-kilogram drum every day, performs for hours, and still guards his self-respect like a heartbeat between beats.
Debutant Aditya Rao Gangasani’s confidence shines through. His staging, mood control, and textured detailing build a universe that feels raw yet cinematic.
Writer Prasanna Kumar Bezawada strengthens the glimpse with his punchy creative touch, while composer Junaid Kumar energizes the frames with thunderous percussion. The production values looked first class.
The glimpse itself was unveiled amidst a roaring spectacle with over 500 street drummers performing live, sending sound waves rippling through the event venue.
With its beats landing loud and clear, DeThadi announces one thing without hesitation- Band bajaadiya… and this jathara is just getting started.
