PCC chief fails to convince Jeevan to stay back

Senior Telangana Congress leader and former minister T Jeevan Reddy is reportedly firm on quitting the Congress party, despite last-ditch efforts by the party leadership to persuade him otherwise.

Jeevan Reddy is said to have categorically informed the leaders that he remains committed to his decision to resign from the party.

He is now preparing to hold a large public meeting in Jagtial on Wednesday, expected to be attended by around 5,000 supporters.

Political circles are abuzz with speculation that he may formally announce his resignation from the Congress during this rally.

The senior leader has previously expressed dissatisfaction over what he described as “repeated humiliation” within the party, detailing his grievances on multiple platforms. He had earlier hinted at taking a decisive step regarding his political future.

With the resignation date approaching, the Congress leadership had intensified efforts to retain him, but these attempts appear to have failed, signaling a potential setback for the party in the region.
