Hyd Film Hubs: RTC Cross Roads To Allu Cinemas

At the beginning, it was RTC Cross Roads in Hyderabad, which was the hub for watching films. That was the big and almost the only center for film buffs.

The opening collections at RTC Cross Roads and a film’s performance there were the benchmarks for decades.

Then came Prasads Multiplex, which pulled the attraction towards it in a big way. Many people loved to watch films only at Prasads Multiplex. Initially it was seen as a luxury, then as comfort, and eventually it became a habit.

The kind of screens, the hype around them, the special VIP screen, and the lounge seating in the large auditoriums all attracted special attention.

Now the focus is shifting towards Allu Cinemas in Kokapet. Allu Cinemas, opening in March 2026, is special for featuring India’s largest Dolby Cinema screen, measuring 75 feet wide and equipped with advanced Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos.

The location itself is strategically placed in one of the fastest growing areas.

Industry and film media sources say there is every possibility that Allu Cinemas will become the next major hub for film buffs in Hyderabad.
